Aiming to strengthen relations and open new business possibilities between Brazil and China, the president of SET, Olimpio Jose Franco, was in Shanghai during its passage to Asia in late November.

He met executives of the National Engineering Research Center of DTV (NERC-DTV) and the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Digital Media Group.

NERC presented its works in the areas of new systems and technologies. The institute develops, promotes and commercializes new standards and emerging services.

The Shanghai Oriental Pearl Group presented a broadcast convergence network solution, developed in partnership with NERC, which is already in operation.

“We also talked about possible partnerships, about the shutdown of analog TV in Brazil and about SET EXPO,” said the president of SET.
