SMPTE

Having won an Oscar and countless awards around the world for its contributions to the industry, this US entity is acknowledged as the most important world authority on standardization in the fields of cinema, television and video.

SET and SMPTE

The partnership between SET and SMPTE began in 1988, with the creation of the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering. On that occasion, the president of the SMPTE, Carlos Kennedy, was at the opening ceremony of the foundation of SET, which is today the benchmark in broadcast and new medias in Brazil.

Every year, SET provides space for the SMPTE at SET EXPO, at both the Trade Show and the Technology Conference, and in the SET magazine, where papers from the SMPTE Journal are published.

This year, the SMPTE had a stand and two panels at SET EXPO 2016. The panel about the Centenary of the SMPTE held a celebration and shared a cake with those presents.
