Brazilian who hacked Nasa’s system will give a talk at the 28th Technology Congress of SET EXPO

Wanderley Abreu Júnior, who after penetrating the system, worked for the space agency, will talk about new streaming technologies

 
On August 31, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, Wanderley Abreu Júnior, the Brazilian who became famous for having invaded Nasa’s systems and was subsequently invited to take an internship at the US space agency, will give a talk on “New Streaming Technologies – BOLA: Near-Optimal Bitrate Adaptation for Online Videos – real-time video transfer protocols for special events” during the 28th SET EXPO Technology Conference that takes place between August 31 and September 1, at the Expo Center Norte Exhibition Center in São Paulo.
Abreu has an engineering degree in mechatronics from PUC-RJ and a graduate degree in encryption and computer security from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT. In his professional career he has headed up the Electronic Investigations Coordination Unit of the Rio de Janeiro State Prosecution Office. He also implemented normative instructions involving the Basel II Accords and the Brazilian Payments System (SPB) at benchmark banks in Brazil. He is currently CEO of the Storm Group (www.stormsec.com.br).
