SET Panel at the CAPER Show now available in full

The Argentine Chamber of Broadcasting Equipment Providers and Manufacturers (Cámara Argentina de Proveedores y Fabricantes de Equipos de Radiodifusión, or CAPER) made available this week a video of the participation of the then-president of SET, Olímpio José Franco, on the panel dealing with the analog TV switch-off in Brazil. The talk was given at last year’s edition of the CAPER Show, in Buenos Aires, at the end of November.

Olímpio addressed the theme “Apagão Analógico: a experiência no Brasil” (The Analog Switch-off: Brazil’s experience) The other panel members were Lourenço Carvano, engineering director of GloboSat, on the theme of “Olympic Games 2016: capture and distribution by different methods” and Marcelo Souza, digital technology director of TV Globo, talking about “GloboSat: a digital platform for content anywhere”. The moderator was María Eugenia Muscio, Technical Advisor of CAPER.

SET – CAPER Partnership

To foster greater integration between Brazil and the countries of Latin America in the broadcast and new media fields, SET signed an arrangement with CAPER during SET EXPO 2016.

The courtship began in 2015, when the International Director of SET at that time, Liliana Nakonechnyj (currently president of SET), took part in a roundtable at that year’s CAPER SHOW. Afterwards, SET sales manager, Paulo Galante, initiated commercial and institutional contacts, culminating in the partnership sealed last August.
