In Mexico, SET signs a formal term of cooperation with AMITRA Broadcast

dsc07438Acknowledged as a great success, the Broadcast Mexico 2017 Trade Show and Conference was held last week in Guadalajara. SET was at the event and, in addition to a stand to promote SET EXPO 2017, right at the entrance to the pavilion, the SET Director for Radio, Eduardo Cappia, took part in the Conference. He spoke about the migration from AM to FM radio and about the switching off of analog TV in Brazil, bringing the scenarios up to date.

“We were very well received by the president of the event, engineer Gildardo Gomes, who introduced us to the key executives of the TV networks in Mexico, as well as technicians and engineers present in the exhibition area (approximately 30). This was an important opportunity for us to talk about SET EXPO 2017 and about the role we play on the Technical Committee of the AESP, in addition to bringing the community up to speed on the migration actions being taken in Brazil”, Cappia explained.

SET also formally signed the term of cooperation between the entity and AMITRA/ BROADCAST MEXICO. According to Cappia, “This partnership was born at SET EXPO 2014, with the participation of the AESP technical committee on radio and the effective participation of SET at the meetings. Now, we have reached the crowning moment of SET’s expansion, not only in Latin America, but also in the world’s key centers for discussing technology.”

The partnership will make it possible to foster greater North America-South America integration in regulations, technological progress and technical standards, while disclosing the stage at which Digital TV finds itself in Brazil.
