EVS set to demonstrate the latest live production technology at SET EXPO 2018

Stand 125B at SET EXPO 2018 will see several technology demos from EVS, the leading provider of live production solutions, including the innovative VIA platform, the latest products it enables and the company’s fast turnaround newsroom solutions.

Built to provide the speed and reliability needed for real-time coverage of breaking news, EVS will demonstrate newsroom solutions that can be deployed throughout the broadcast chain. These will include technology for multi-source ingest, playback operations, fast turnaround editing and multi-platform delivery.

EVS will also be demonstrating VIA, it’s new microservice-based technology platform that’s built on three pillars – VIA Flow, VIA Mind and VIA Opengate. It forms the foundation of the latest EVS products, including XT-VIA, DYVI, X-ONE and Xeebra. At the show, the XT-VIA live production sever will demonstrate to users why it marks the most significant update to EVS’ XT series of servers yet. Able to operate in any environment needed, it features six channels of UHD-4K and 12-plus channels of Full HD, native IP support of the SMPTE 2110 standard and 12G SDI connectivity.

Also on display will be the Xeebra multi-camera review system with its latest AI functionality driven by VIA Mind. This new functionality has been designed for VAR applications in soccer and allows to automatically calibrate the field of play for the easy addition of a completely accurate offside line. DYVI will also be on the stand, showing how a software backbone can provide faster, more efficient and creative live switching using customizable panel configurations and GPU technology that executes complex designs at the touch of a button.

Finally, visitors to the show will be able to see how EVS’ IP routing and orchestration system, SCORE MASTER gives production network operators a seamless way to manage, monitor and configure smart end points within live IP production workflows.
