SET Expo and AES Brasil Expo will be held jointly in 2017, creating the key meeting point of the audiovisual industry, with an expected turnover of 50 million dollars
Stand sales and the new sponsorship program will be announced when the events are launched on October 19
SET, a technical and scientific association engaged in engineering in the fields of television, telecommunications, radio and the internet, and the Audio Engineering Society- AES, a professional entity dedicated to audio, have announced that AES Brasil Expo, traditionally held in the month of May, will take place simultaneously with SET Expo in the Red Pavilion of the Expo Center Norte Convention Center in São Paulo, from August 21 to 24, 2017.
The key drivers behind the partnership are the entities’ complementary nature and the synergy between the segments in which they operate and their target audiences. The joint events will attract over 200 exhibitors representing around 500 Brazilian and international brands, and should attract 18,000 participants and produce a turnover of 50 million dollars. “This partnership creates the key meeting point and discussion forum of the media and audiovisual industry in Latin America”, says Claudio Younis, marketing director of SET.
“The agreement will enable both events to grow in the markets where we operate together, and will add a lot of value for our associates, exhibitors and clients”, says Olimpio Franco, president of SET. By taking place together, the events benefit the audiovisual, broadcast and new media industries in Latin America, which will find under the same roof their leading gurus and the latest trends and new developments in the world market, thereby optimizing resources while reducing travel and accommodation costs, for example.
“For today’s media professionals, it makes every sense that these two events complement each other’s mission to the mutual benefit of the associations, while increasing the opportunities for all participants”, in the opinion of Bob Moses, executive director of AES. Scheduled content sessions of common interest will be unified, so that media, entertainment and telecommunications professionals can take part in a greater number of seminars and conferences dealing with issues involving radio, television, the future of TV, IT and TV, cinema, video, live events, lighting, digital signposting, production and post-production.
The event floorplan and the spaces to be commercialized, as well as the new sponsorship program will be announced this Wednesday, October 19, at the Expo Center Norte Convention Center.
