360-degree interactivity, solar powered equipment and Ultra HD lenses are the newcomers at SET Expo

The latest trends and innovations for the broadcast and new media markets are the trademark of the Products and Services Trade Show, an integral part of SET Expo, the largest industry event in Latin America, which takes place in São Paulo, from August 30 to September 1, at the Red Pavilion of the Center Norte Exhibition Center.

This list describes a few other participants at the trade show, which will host 200 exhibitors representing 400 brands and 37 countries. They will rollout new ideas, such as 360-degree, real-time interactivity for sports and events, solar powered equipment and wide-angle lenses for Ultra HD broadcasting applications, as well as broadcasting solutions for AM-to-FM migration, among others.

They are:

Biquad – is presenting its latest launch for the domestic market: DAP Uno, an on-air, digital audio processor with five processing bands that include card options. There will also be other solutions for broadcasting, especially for AM stations that have already begun the process of migrating to FM.

Frata: is taking to SET EXPO the new generation of LED aerial markers and solar–powered models. In the field of energy, it is introducing instruments for measuring quality in battery banks (UPS and no-breaks).

FUJIFILM do Brasil – is showcasing the Fujinon UA107x8.4BESM lenses, the long, wide-angle lens available on the market for Ultra HD broadcast applications; the UA13x4.5BERD ultra wide-angle lens, with the largest zoom ratio on the market, which brings 4K UHD resolution from the center to the edges for HD and UHD broadcast productions, in addition to the PL lens for movie productions, with an ample focal length, excellent value for money and 4K-quality optics.

Kathrein – is exhibiting products related with mobile communication and data transmission in offices, fiber optics and cable networks, to satellites and radio and TV transmissions, in addition to in-car transmission and reception systems.

SAM (Snell Advanced Media) is presenting among others products, the ICE Channel-in-a-Box (master control, display, internal processing and CG), a resource-rich system for a playout environment, affording reductions in costs in addition to resilience.

Smart UPS Solutions – is exhibiting an integrated solution for server rooms, consisting of a 19” 42U Rack; no-breaks with integrated management software that enables remote monitoring; rack-mounted automatic transfer switches (ATS) that provide redundancy for equipment requiring double input sources; among other integrated solutions for secure power supply, refrigeration, environmental monitoring and energy management for Data Centers, transmitter rooms, technical centers and studios.

Snell – a company created from the merger of two broadcast market companies, Snell and Quantel, is taking to SET Expo solutions for production and post-production, infrastructure, editing MAM and playout. The products include IP infrastructure, the ICE Channel-in-a-Box – a resource-rich channel-in-a-box system for a playout environment, affording reductions in costs, as well as incomparable resilience and reliability – and other systems.

Storm: its flagship products and solutions are the streaming platform (the first to deliver 4k in Latin America), Stormlytics (Big Data and BI), development of applications for smart TVs, smartphones and the web. At the trade show the company will provide real-time demonstrations of new streaming technologies using advanced real-time video transfer protocols for special events.

Videodata – is offering integrated solutions om multiple platforms using video, HD, 4K, OTT, IP and cloud technology in distribution, contribution, production, content management, automation and digital archiving for the TV, Telecom, Cable, DTH, Government and cinema markets, providing products, services and turnkey project integration. The company is taking to SET Expo 360° real-time interactivity for sports and events, the Pebble Beach Marina Lite Automation System, a HD internet TV encoder and video monitoring on IP network.
