Carla Liberal Pagliari

Carla Pagliari holds a Ph.D. degree in Electronic Systems Engineering – University of Essex (1999), England and is currently a lecturer at the Military Engineering Institute. She has experience in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Image Processing, acting on the following
topics: video encoding, stereo video coding, stereo systems, multi-view synthesis, streaming video and digital TV.
Dr. Pagliari participated in the definition of the Brazilian System of Digital Television in the adoption of the recommendation of the H.264/AVC video codec. She is a member of the Board of Education of the Society of Television Engineering-SET. She has projects in the areas of image fusion in the region of the infra-red, video over IP for applications in public safety, digital TV and contributes with the JPEG Pleno group.
